Inside, you will find six bedrooms, spacious shared living areas and a well-equipped kitchen. Step outside the door and you are already surrounded by Lapland nature – old-growth forests, the fell and Karu Lodge’s private grounds begin right outside.

Complete your stay with a traditional smoke sauna experience, join one of Karu Lodge’s forest or fell adventures, or simply spend the day at your own pace.

Karu Lodge lies at the foot of Yli-Luosto Fell, surrounded by the forests and fell landscapes of Lapland, right next to the national park. From Tervakko, you can step straight into the forest and fell landscapes, surrounded by silence and old-growth forest.

In winter, enjoy snowshoeing, skiing or Karu Lodge’s own nature experiences. In the evening, look up to the stars and, with a little luck, the Northern Lights.
